has 900 years history. It has been many things:
a fortress, a prison, a place of execution, a palace and even a zoo. Today the Tower is best known as a historical museum and more than 2 million people visit it each year. The Tower of London was started in 1066 by William the Conqueror. The oldest building of the Tower is the White Tower. The walls of the White Tower are 27 metres high and about 5 metres thick at the base.

There have always been ravens at the
Tower. There is a legend that they bring good
luck to Britain. The ravens are looked after by the official Ravenmaster, who feeds them and checks their health.Слайд 18 Buckingham Palace is the official London residence of
